Objective: Preparation and presentation of a seminar |
Course outlines: (17 hours theory)
This course will be presented in two sections. The first two sessions are instructed by the professor regarding the principles of preparing and presenting seminars, and the remaining sessions are upon the students.
Duties of the Professor:
Principles of seminar presentation (4 hours), including:
× Definition of seminar and its difference with lecture, congress, symposium and journal club
× Preparations before presenting the seminar and reading of a scientific article
× Methods of seminar presentation
× Participation of attendants in the seminar
× Posing questions and related discussions
Duties of the Students:
× Selecting the topic of the seminar
× Searching for proper sources relating to the subject
× Preparing a PowerPoint file
× Presenting the topic in the presence of other students
× Public participation in the seminar presentation session
