Course Title: General Histology

Prerequisite or simultaneous: None

Credits: 1.5 (one theory, 0.5 practical)

Course type: Theory-practical

Objective: Recognition of the structure and ultrastructure of basic tissues and their subcategories

 

Course outlines:

17 hours theory:

ü  Epithelium (3 hours)

ü  Connective tissue and extracellular matrix (4 hours)

ü  Tissues of the cartilage, bones, joints and bone formation (4 hours)

ü  Muscle tissues (2 hours)

ü  Nerve tissues (neurons, neuroglia and peripheral nerves) (2 hours)

ü  Skin and breasts (2 hours)

17 hours practical:

ü  Epithelium (2 hours)

ü  Connective tissue (4 hours)

ü  Cartilage and bones (3 hours)

ü  Bone formation (2 hours)

ü  Muscles (2 hours)

ü  Skin and breasts (4 hours)
